The mews site is typical narrow plot of a late Georgian terrace in Dublin with an east-west orientation. The plan is formed around a double height top lit dining area with the first floor circulation framing the void. The living space and kitchen are either side of the void allowing light to enter both sides, a limestone floor connects all the ground floor spaces.
The first floor accommodation consists of 3 bedrooms with ensuites. The master bedroom has a hardwood screen which opens to allow additional light from the void into the bedroom.
The external elevations are designed as hardwood screens to the front and rear. Recessed solid panel vent/door openings are located either side of the fixed glazed screens. Internally the screens form tables, drawers or seats depending on the space.
A simple self-finished render with a zinc capping complete the external elevations.
